Superyacht Listings Rise

Two high-value superyachts have entered the spotlight in the brokerage market, highlighting the continued availability of Italian-built vessels at prices reaching tens of millions of euros. The 54.83-metre Riva SAIRU is listed at €42 million, while the 42.98-metre Mangusta Oceano 43 TOY is offered at €20.5 million. Both prices are asking prices, not confirmed transaction values.

Three Key Points

  • A new-generation flagship: Riva SAIRU is marketed through Edmiston as a recently delivered flagship with five guest cabins and accommodation for 10 guests. Superyacht Guide
  • Long-range capability: Mangusta TOY is listed by Fraser with a claimed range of 4,000 nautical miles at 11 knots and a record of five transatlantic crossings. Fraser
  • Asking price is not market value: Final transaction prices may differ from published listings, depending on negotiations, condition, technical inspections and sale terms.

A Selective Market for Luxury Assets

The latest listings arrive amid a superyacht market in which high-value assets continue to attract buyers, but pricing and liquidity vary by vessel size and specification.

Northrop & Johnson’s third-quarter market report, published on October 15, found that 472 pre-owned yachts of at least 24 metres were sold globally in the first nine months of 2026, down 1% year on year. Aggregate sales value declined 4.7% to $5.2 billion, while new brokerage listings increased 5.5% to 1,400.

The figures suggest a market where buyers have substantial choice and sellers face competition. A prestigious builder and recent delivery can strengthen a yacht’s appeal, but neither guarantees that the advertised price will be achieved.

Two Yachts, Different Ownership Profiles

SAIRU offers a newly delivered flagship platform, with a reported range of approximately 3,600 nautical miles and extensive outdoor entertaining areas. TOY combines a smaller footprint with a reported 4,000-nautical-mile range, making its long-distance cruising credentials a prominent part of its sales proposition. Both specifications are broker-advertised and require independent verification.

For the ultra-wealthy, the purchase price is only one part of the financial equation. Crew, fuel, insurance, maintenance, refits and mooring can create substantial recurring costs. Resale prospects also depend on the vessel’s technical condition, operating history and future demand.

The brokerage market therefore offers a useful window into luxury wealth: the listings reveal what sellers are asking, while completed transactions provide a more meaningful measure of what buyers are actually willing to pay.

Market Outlook

The €42 million SAIRU and €20.5 million TOY listings illustrate two distinct propositions within the premium motor-yacht segment. Their market significance lies not simply in their headline prices, but in what they reveal about the relationship between design, cruising capability, asset maintenance and buyer selectivity.

Neither listing confirms a completed sale. Until transaction prices become public, the advertised figures should be treated as market indications rather than definitive valuations.
